Double your impact for Horizons' Families
As we reflect on the past year, we can’t help but focus on the importance of mental health and wellbeing. Many children and families have felt isolated during these uncertain times. This feeling is intensified for families experiencing homelessness.
According to our recent wellbeing survey, nearly 40% of Horizons’ families report not having any supportive connections; no one to provide financial, caregiving, or even emotional support to them if and when they need it.
While their children attend our early education program and build important social-emotional skills, parents work closely with a Family Advocate–their own mentor and coach–to identify and develop the resources, skills, and action plan to attain mental wellbeing and economic independence.
We know social connections and access to mental health supports are critical to success, and Horizons uniquely fosters secure, trauma-informed relationships with children and parents. Will you support our families with a year-end gift? Now, your support will have twice the impact, as a generous family has offered to match your gift to Horizons through the end of 2021!
In a season of togetherness, let’s show Horizons’ families they are not alone. Thank you in advance for your partnership.
