SPECIAL REPORT: Homeless children can use more PALs

Jim Reddish, 59, enjoyed a successful career in sales with Beam Global, a national liquor wholesaler. He got to travel extensively, but his greatest satisfaction these days comes from being a play space activity leader – or PAL – with Horizons for Homeless Children.

“I had the opportunity to retire from a sales position and had time on my hands,” Reddish said. “It is a wonderful way to give back. I love working with kids and it is the best of worlds, to give back, provide support and give guidance to kids.”
