¡Aprendemos juntos! Horizons’ Impact on Young Latino Learners and Their Families
For more than 30 years, Horizons for Homeless Children, based in Roxbury, has provided high-quality childcare and early education to young children whose families are experiencing homelessness, including many Latino/Hispanic families. Nearly 60% of Horizons’ families are Hispanic and 40% speak Spanish at home. Additionally, more than 40% of our staff are Hispanic.
We believe that early education is essential in addressing educational and economic disparities in the Latino community and want to connect with others who are committed to achieving equity for all residents in our region. Please join other community leaders on March 29 to learn more about Horizons from CEO Kate Barrand and their early educators who are preparing their young students for success in future learning and careers.
