What can parents expect?
The Edgerley Family Horizons Center
Family Advocates work with parents to build resilience and strength for themselves and their families.
1-on-1 coaching helps parents in the pursuit of:
- employment opportunities
- career options
- education
- resource connection
- personal wellness
- financial literacy
Drop-Off Procedures:
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Horizons’ parents dropped children off in the classroom directly to teachers. However, due to guidelines from the Department of Early Education that require minimizing traffic within Horizons’ Early Education Centers, drop off and pick up now take place at the front door of the building with dedicated staff walking children from the front door to their classroom and vice versa. Although the implementation of these measures aren’t ideal, they are working to keep the entire Horizons’ community safe.
In response to the new guidelines, Horizons’ teachers have gotten creative to find ways to keep parents connected, despite not being able to be there physically. Read our latest story here, which highlights those initiatives.
We look forward to the day we can welcome parents back into classrooms!
Additional Benefits:
MBTA Passes
Waived Parent Fees
Periodic Financial Assistance
