Holiday Letter from our CEO
Dear friends of Horizons,
It’s that wonderful time of year when I am able to reflect on the progress we’ve made and the impact we’ve had on so many lives. Over the past 12 months, we’ve celebrated milestones with our children, and watched them develop into school-ready children who can keep pace with their peers. While the children have grown within our care, we’ve supported their parents as they achieve major steps including schooling, career growth, and permanent housing.
Having served on Horizons’ board for 14 years and now as CEO, I can confidently say that this organization is operating more effectively than ever. Through our four pillars of work – our Early Education Centers, Playspace Program, Family Partnership Program, and Policy work – we are helping thousands of lives each week in a meaningful and impactful way. Our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide high quality programming to the children and families we serve, and I am proud to be part of this team.
As an organization, we rely heavily on gifts from generous individuals to help us do this important work. This holiday season, I ask that you please consider making a gift this holiday season to help us continue to serve homeless children and families across Massachusetts.
Wishing you and your families happy holidays and a healthy New Year!
Warmly,
Kate Barrand
President & CEO
PS – if you’ve recently made a gift, please accept our heartfelt thanks!
